33. It's been almost a decade. Where were you when 9/11 happened?

Soooooo hard to believe it's been almost ten years.

I will NEVER forget that day.  I was in my 7^th grade social studies class and everyone and their brother was being called to go home early.  Then, about an hour later everyone else went home.  When I got home my parents were absolute basket cases.  They explained to me what was going on and that my cousin Cindy worked in the 2^nd tower on the 64^th floor.  We had not heard from her or my Aunt Dot.  While waiting for a phone call about Cindy we got two much unexpected phone calls.  One said that my neighbors, Al and Char lost their nephew, Matthew and another from my friends Mom who is a member at the same church as my family saying that a Man that went to my church, Joe was on a once a month business trip to NYC and was on the 94^th floor.  As you can imagine, this was devastating news to receive.  We later received word that my cousin had not made it up to her floor yet and was able to make it safely out of the building.
