Three Things Thursday!

1. Heroes: I am going to kill my boyfriend! He got me addicted to another show, Heroes.  Grrrr.  I love this show but I was soooo not trying to get addicted to any more shows because then I waste my few days off watching them.  Like yesterday for example, when I did a total of one load of laundry and watched a total of 7 episodes of heroes.   P.S. If you have never seen this show, you probably should.

2. Job Search:  I have been searching for a new job for about two or three months now and have had no luck.  I am hoping to get one that I applied for the other day.  I applied to be a flight attendant!  I think it would be something fun to do and it would help me pay off my debts and save for school. *keeps fingers crossed*

3. Warrior Dash:  I am going to be participating in Warrior Dash 2011 along with my boyfriend and possibly some others!!!  I am so excited! We will be doing it on October 1st in Warsaw, VA!! :) This will definitely be motivation for me to work out.   Also, my friend, Heather and I are doing a 5k race on June 26th in Baltimore City. This particular race is called the Baltimore Woman's Classic 5K and will benefit BWC, Inc., a 501(c)3 public charity supporting gynecologic cancer patients and other women's health initiatives.  I really need to hit the gym!! :)

#20!

I can now check #20 off of my list!  I put "Go Skiing" on my list because it is something that I really enjoy but don't get to do very often anymore (since I no longer work at a ski resort where I ski for free...).  Also, my boyfriend has never been before! So, for Valentines day this year, him and I took a trip to Massanutten Resort in VA and went skiing!  I had a blast and he didn't do TOO bad.  He had his fair share of falls, starting with getting of the ski lift, but really he didn't do bad for his first time.  He's thinking next time he'll try snowboarding, but I am sticking to skiing :)  Sadly, we couldn't get any pictures on the slopes because my camera is too big, however we did get these:

Josh in the lot

Me

Josh Under the ski lift...kinda

We also took a little trip to see Josh's new niece, Alaya!  I love her! She is so adorable:

Grandma (Josh's Mom) and Alaya

Josh and Alaya

Me and Alaya (ignore double chin :( )

Alaya's Mommy (Josh's Sis-in-law, Maria) is in the Green

and of course we had to see this adorable baby here:

6. In your region, what is the “big” high school sport?
Football

7. Do you consider yourself rich?
Not at all

8. Which of these would you have the best chance administering:

A) CPR

I can do all of those but I would most likely need to help change a flat tire

9. Which dance would you prefer to learn & why:
A) Salsa
B) Hip Hop
C) Waltz
D) Swing

Salsa probably because I have always liked foreign and exotic dances.

10. What’s the worst news you’ve ever delivered to someone?
I had to tell my ex-boyfriend that our friend, Brent had died

11. Name something you learned in college that had nothing to do with classes or academics.
Don’t try to cross train track drunk with a case of beer in your hands because the beer will end up all over the train tracks.

12. New variation on an old question: If there’s a song in your head that just won’t get out, what is your favorite (or most repeated) line in that song?
“I see sparks fly whenever you smile”

Three Things Thursday!

1. Rant: First, I am going to rant about my job because I am having a bad week :(.  First, ladies...when you go potty, PLEASE DO NOT SQUAT!!! You are the ones making the toilet seats gross because your urine comes up and splashes on the seat! Please, use the nice flush-able seat covers we give you or toilet paper to cover the seats if you are that much of a germophob. Second, gentlemen ... when I put signs on the restrooms that say "restrooms closed" or "out of order" this does not mean move the cones from in front of the door and enter.  I will yell at you and you still will not be allowed to use said restroom.  So, please leave me alone and let me do my job so that you can have a pretty potty room, thanks. Third, to all customers ... Wawa gas pumps have an auto stop in them, so if you spill gas it is your fault! Don't whine to me because you are impatient or forgot to turn off the pump before you took it out of your car.  And thanks for adding "gas spill" to my list of pleasant things to clean today!  Oh annnnd....our Ham and SWISS ciabattas come with Swiss cheese, just FYI.

2. Day Zero: I could not be more excited that the day zero project website is back up!!! I felt like a part of me was missing while it was gone.  This is a pretty sad fact, but a fact nonetheless. This is My List if you want to see it.

3. Skiing and VDay: I could not be more excited to go skiing and to Virginia with Josh this Valentines day!! We are leaving Monday, making a stop to his brother house to meet baby Alaya, then we are stopping at his sisters house so that I can meet her.  Then we will head to Massanutten/Harrisonburg to go skiing and visit JMU and Josh's Dad.   Then on Tuesday we are going to Lynchburg to see the lovely MIKA!!! I am sooo thrilled!  This will be a great two days!

1. Brent:  Today is my friend Brent's birthday.  He was taken from us in a motorcycle accident on July 11th, 2009.  He was only 20 years old. Today and the 11th are always the two hardest days for me.  He was a great friend, very funny and sweet, and I miss him every day.

Day Zero Update!

#54. Rid my room of stuff I don't need and organize everything into boxes:
I have been doing this over the past few weeks, mainly because I moved.  I went through all my clothes, shoes, books, movies, and old crap that I haven't seen in years and have either donated it or put it in boxes to sell at a flea market.  Everything else has been moved with me.  Luckily nothing except scrapbook stuff really needs to be boxed (my clothes are currently in boxes while I search for a new dresser).  I declare this done! Thank God! Also, I have decided that I will seasonally go through my clothes and shoes so that my next move is not so hectic! :)

#20 - I AM SO EXCITED! Me and Josh are going skiing Feb. 14th and 15th, for valentines day, duh.  I haven't been skiing since I quit Massanutten (2009)!  Josh has never been before, so this will be an adventure!  To add to the excitement, we will be visiting Mika and baby Alaya during this trip :) YAY!

#39 - I finished the book, "After You" by Julie Buxbaum in a whole 2 days! I absolutely loved this book!! I didn't want it to end!

Today I am starting the book "Max" by James Patterson.  This is the 5th book in the Maximum Ride series. I love this series, it is addicting!
